Yes, all the Ausker cookware are PFOA free. Our non-stick coatings are subjected to stringent internal controls before being introduced to the market. The relevant legal guidelines (EU and US) are observed. The coatings are tested by independent testing institutes to ensure that they are harmless to health.
PFOA (Perfluorooctanoic acid) is a component that was used in the past as an additive for the manufacture of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) in the quantity of a few parts per million (ppm). PFOA is hard to degrade and it can remain in the environment and the human body for a long time. PFOA has not been used for some time in the production cycles of the raw materials used to make non-stick coatings. This compound is therefore not present in non-stick cookware and has been eliminated by the plastics manufacturers, who also produce fluoropolymer, since 2010.
